PROBLEM
On Atari Tempest, I thought I had a monitor
problem; too much brightness with retrace lines.
After much work, I switched it with a known good
one and had the same problem and worked on
the board and found nothing wrong. I put in a
known good board and still had the same prob-
lem.

SOLUTION
Instead of one finger per wire in the edge connec-
tor, the fingers are split in two with two very thin
fmgers per connection. I found these bend over
and shorting out others causing the above de-
scribed problem.
