PROBLEM
PROBLEM
Nintendo is no longer making new games for
their VS cocktails, so in converting them to 2
JAMMA games, the monitor necks (deflection
coils) are too close to each other, thus causing
waves and interference in the video from the two
different frequencies.

imagine all the subsequent pins) works fine until
the slingshot switch is manually depressed 5-10
times in a row and then the slingshot coil could
stop working.
We worked for 6 hours trying everything we
know to try to fix this problem. All we succeeded
in doing was to blow out one of the slingshot
drivers. After throwing up our hands we called~
Premier and were told:

NOTE
The games must be of the same general oper-
ating frequency. Two older games will run to-
gether ok and, likewise for two newer games.
But, if the frequencies are not within two or three
Mhz of each other, the interference will still
occur. Check the crystal for the operating fre-
quency on the main Pcb.
"Oh, that's the normal program operation, we
built it that way." (But didn't put it in the
manual!). "This is done to prevent a stuck switch
from burning up a slingshot coil."
NOTE
Perhaps this info will save others a lot of wasted
time tracking down an unfixable non-problem.
Sanwa Monitor Sync Proble111

SOLUTION
PROBLEM
Run an additional line from pin 6 on the monitor
to the vertical sync output on the game board (for
vertical sync).

When converting a Data East Karate Champ
cabinet to Bally /Williams Pigskin you'll find that
the Sanwa Monitor will not sync properly and
will become jittery.
Upgrading the .4 7ufd capacitor on the power
supply to 47ufd will stabilize the jittering.
