SYMPTOM
Blank screen - no high voltage. This applies
to all Hantarex monitors Model MTC 9000.
SYMPTOM
Partial vertical collapse or small frame.
All transistors in B+ regulation section
check good, as well as TRIS horizontal out-
put. Rl05 turns into a toaster element, and
the chassis becomes a sandy beach.
CURE
Watch out for this one gang! This is my third
Hantarex Model MTC 9000 that has done
this. The problem is the EIIT (flyback) trans-
former. TH2 Hantarex PN 28026030. This
baby is gone south. If you look close, you
might notice a nice little hole punched
through the case along with a bit of melted
plastic near the ferrite core. Better order an
extra one for stock.
SOLUTION
Check resistor R3 l 7 on the top right hand
side of the "\TERI"' board; it should be 2.2
ohms and is probably open circuit.

Preniier System 3 Overview
John Buras
Premier Technology
Bensenville, Illinois
System 3 contains many new features which improve game play and reliability.
Some of these features are as follows:
1. New lithium battery provides
data retention for a minimum of
5 years under normal operation
and virtually eliminates battery
leakage. Also a low battery warn-
ing is given in the displays when
the voltage drops to the critical
level.
6. Switch matrix input protec-
tion.
7. Easy line voltage adjustment
on location.
8. Improved bookkeeping func-
2. New interlocking connector
tions.
system for improved reliability.
9 . Improved display control.
3. Use of High Speed CMOS
technology for low power con-
sumption and cooler operation.
10. Capability for operators to
enter their own messages in the
attract mode.
4. Improved solenoid driver re-
liability due to simplified cir-
cuitry and the use of Rugged
Power MOSFETS.
WARNING
