equipment.
The original design was submitted to the
Telemarketing Office of Invention Submission

W1ns Pinballs Sys II
Special Solenoids
Todd Tuckey
TNT Amusements
Southhampton, Pennsylvania
SUBJECT
Williams Pinballs System II CPU beginning with
Hi Speed. Games with dead special solenoids
i.e., pop bumpers and sling shots!
SYMPTOM
When I switched a Road.Kings' CPU with an F-14
Tomcat, after exchanging ROMS, all the special
solenoids were dead. The fuse under the
playfield was good and all wires intact, also the
transistors and IC in the circuit were good.
MURPHY'S LAW
#1205
CAUSE
~. The older Williams CPU II boards have no ground
connection at plug 1J18, pins 6 & 7. The older
games (High Speed. Road Kings, etc.) do not use
these pins.
SOLUTION
Simply soldering a small wire from both pins to
the foil ground next to the pins restored all
special solenoids.
RESULT
Your CPU might work fine in one game but not
another, so now we add this mod to all boards we
pull out of a game to avoid future problems!
