WARNING
It is possible that you are losing revenue on
your ROWE-AMI jukeboxes.
the credit to be replaced and another video
was then selected. This can be continued in-
definitely.
DESCRIPTION
On models that have keyboard program-
ming, the prices youhave set up may not be
enforced.
When a combination of prices is used, (such
as in the video models). that offers one price
for records and a premium price for the other
attraction, the premium selections can be
played for the lowest price on the record
price list.
We discovered that our videos were being
played for $.25 when the price for a single
video was $.50
SYMPTOMS
CURE
The pricing was changed to:
RECORDS
• 2 - $0.50 • 6 - $1.00 • 36 - $5.00
VIDEOS
• 1 - $0.50 • 3 - $1.00 • 18 - $5.00
The only change that was probably neces-
sary was to remove the "l play for 25 cents"
price on the records. We changed all the
record pricing to twice that of the videos to
eliminate any chance of further losses.
The jukebox was set to the following prices:
NOTE
RECORDS
• 1 - $0.25 • 2 - $0.50
• 5 - $1.00 • 30 - $5.00
VIDEOS
• 1 - $0.50 • 3 - $1.00 • 18 - $5.00
Any time that a price exists on the machine
that is lower than the lowest premium price,
this problem could surface. In trying to
match our original price schedule, the juke-
box was required to subtract 2 credits for
videos most of the time, and only one credit
sometimes.
By eliminating the ability to purchase a
single credit, this problem is avoided.
The employees at this 24-hour location were
placing one dollar credit on the machine.
This gave them five credits. They would then
select a video and their credit would drop to
four. Inserting another quarter now caused
