Stop Third Hand Problem

for Maximum Ease of Use
The HD153 multimeter is packed with fea-
tures that make it the easiest to use meter
around. It is designed to let you keep your
attention on your workg, not your meter.
Audible Readout
The HD153's exclusive feature of audible
readout lets you hear what you're measur-
ing. The HD153 emits a variable tone that
rises or falls as the parameter you measure
rises or falls. This lets you keep your eyes on
the job and frees your hands to connect or
move test leads. Audible readout can meas-
ure volts, ohms or amps. And it alerts you to
intermittents for fast detection & correction.
Super Fast, Full Auto-Ranging
The HD153 auto-ranging may well be the
fastest and most accurate in the business,
because of a special Beckman Industrial
designed dual-meter gate.AID converter. A
voltage-to-frequency circuit makes auto-
matic range selection virtually instantane-
ous. This circuit also generates the signal
used for audible readout.
Range Lock
The HD153 allows you to select and lock in
a range at the push of a button.
End Blown Fuses
The self-resetting fuse can easily handle
excess voltage or surges. So, your multime-
ter is protected from accidents.
Auto-Off
Other DMMs claim to have auto-off but in
reality they just go into a "sleep" mode that
continues to drain your battery. The HD153
multimeter, on the other hand, turns com-
pletely off after setting idle for one hour. No
more finding your meter dead because
someone forgot to turn it off.
Keep Your Eyes On Your Work
For example, on logic boards you can hear
the meter make two different audible tones
for high and low logic levels. You can quickly
probe the board listening for tone changes
that will pinpoint the problem without glanc-
ing at the LCD display.
Logic Detector
The HD153 signals the presence of TTL and
CMOS logic pulses with a fast-responding
audible beep using standard test leads. No
