The Circuitmate Model DM25L is a low cost, high feature, 3½
digit digital multimeter with built-in tilt bails. It measures AC
and DC voltage to 1000 volts, AC and DC current to 1 O amps,
and resistance to 20 M !l .
CAPACITANCE & PARTS TESTER
CAPT 6 Features

24 user ranges for versatile test selection
Tests g Capacitance Ranges from 200pF thru to 20,00011F
Tests 6 Resistance Ranges from 2000 through 20M 0
Tests Diodes, Transistors (NPN and PNP) and LED's
Tests Batteries under actual loaded condition
0.5% accuracy for Capacitor Testing
$152 ($5 S/H)
The unit measures 6.3 x 3.0 x 1.4 inches, weighs 11 ounces
including battery, and comes equipped with test leads, a spare
fuse, a 9-volt battery (installed) and an operators manua'i.
The CircuitmateTM Model CAPT6 is a versatile test instrument
which covers a wide range of component measuring needs.
The user can measure capacitors from the smallest (200pF) to
the largest filter caps (20,000uF) with basic accuracy 0.5%.
Six resistance ranges, covering from 2000 to 20MO, provide
the user with the capability of checking component values as
well as continuity.
The transistor test function measures both gain (hFE) and leak-
age (lceo) on both PNP and NPN type devices.
The Diode and LED scales read the approximate forward volt-
age of the device under test, providing a highly reliable indica-
tion of the condition of the tested item.
The Battery Test feature allows the user to quickly check the
condition of most batteries used in the lab and shop by placing
them under actual loaded conditions.
The CAPT6 comes with an Operators Manual and a pair of alli-
gator clip test leads. Capacitors with pigtail leads may also be
tested by inserting the leads directly into the sockets provided
on the face of the CAPT6.

The DM25L also measures transistor hFE (DC current gain)
and features a built-in continuity beeper. Additionally, the
DM25L features a direct-reading 2000M !l resistance range
for measurement of very high resistances.
The DM25L also includes a built-in 20MHz logic probe that
detects 25nS pulses, and five capacitance ranges for measure-
ment of of capacitors as large as 20 µF.
Equipped with a single rotary switch for function and range
selection, the DM25L is useful in a variety of applications. The
multiple functions combined into the DM25L in one handy
package greatly facilitates field service work by reducing the
amount of equipment necessary.

Custonier Service Survey Results
The results are in! An industry survey
was conducted on STARflECH Jour-
nal's electronic Bulletin Board System
(BBS) during the month of May. The
subject was Manufacturer's Customer
Service: The Best and The Worst! Many
operators took the opportunity to
express their opinions as well as share
some of the reasons for their selections.
Percentages were compiled for only the
top selections and based on number of
times selected out of the total partici-
pants. Some manufacturer Customer
Service techs tried to stuff the ballot box
but these entries were deleted from the
responses! (Nice try, guys!)
So, here ar~ the results ... Drum roll, please.
