INITIAL ADJUSTMENTS
When you install 5 ball play on Earthshaker/
( adj 60) you are also dialing in the "hard"
game settings from the game adjust table.
These include raising extra ball miles and
changing the earthquake zones necessary
for a lock to light. If these settings are too
difficult for your location after installing 5
. ball play set adj 64 to game play "medium".
So, on 5 ball play, the game automatically
tries to keep certain features at the correct
"distance" from the player. As far as game
time goes keep an eye on the status of ball
time. As long as ball time ( audit 17 ) is
between 40 - 50 seconds you are probably
O.K.
at a time ... and if you move the game to a new
location remember what you did to get the
"good guys" at the old location.
PLAYFIELD SET-UP
Also remember before going to all of this
trouble to DOUBLE check the playfield incli-
nationl All of our games operate best be-
tween 6-1 /2 and 7 degrees ON THE PIAY-
FIELD. (If I could tell you the number of
operators that think eyeing it on location is
O.K.r) Anything below 6 degrees the players
will probably kill it, anything over 7 degrees
and they will WALKAWAY.
~.
More money is lost (never seen) by pinball operators that just won't
take a little time to set up a game in a new location. I'm talking
HALF collections over a correctly pitched game!
FINE TUNING
If ball time creeps above 50 seconds on
either 3 or 5 ball you can try one of the
following playfield adjustments preferably
in this order.

If time is only a little over 50 seconds don't be
too concerned. If ball time is 60+ seconds
then try some of the above. BUT only try one
INCLINOMETER
For anyone reading this that doesn't know,
any hardware store carries a dial inclinome-
ter. Buy the largest dial that you can find
(they are more accurate and easier to read)
and place it on the playfield to adjust the legs
on location.
This little gem costs about 6 dollars and will
pay for itself with the first setup. ALL of the
designers and techs here have them and al)-.,
of the games we take to shows are set up tha-__·
way. All of our games are percentaged that
way!
