GAMEROOM RATING
Videos
• Clean marquee with working light behind
it and it is on tightly.
• Monitor and screen clean, clear and bright.
• Control panel with good overlay and no
cigarette stains.
• Joystick moves easily in all directions and
returns to center smoothly; all buttons go in
and out smoothly; labels on all controls;
plexi where required (conversions espe-
cially).
• Cash box door locked tightly, hasp on
tightly.
• Front cabinet bottom clean, does it need
painting?
• Cabinet side decals are not peeling.
• Molding on tightly.
• Back door tightly secured.
• Top of cabinet clean.
• Cabinets spaced evenly around room; is
game height taken into account when lining
up the games?
Pinballs
• Head is on tight, are bulbs working?
• Cabinet is game level and seated squarely
on floor; are all legs on tight?
• Playfield is clean, rubbers look good; are
any rubbers worn and about to break, are
bulbs lit?
• Coin door lock and hasp on tight; coin
returns work properly.
Bill Changer
• Cabinet mounted securely to floor or wall.
• Out• of• order lamp and cover lock plate
and washer present?
• Cabinet need painting or overlay finish?
• Instruction labels in need of replacement?
All Machines
• Plug and outlet in good condition?
As you can see, these inspections are usu-
ally done without opening up any of the
games. It is obvious to our players if a game
is working or it is out-of-order. It is also very
obvious when any of the above is not taken
care of. How many of you can say that you
check all these points as a regular weekly
routine?
