PROCEDURE
First of all never connect any part of a
speaker system to ground, even through
another speaker. BTL ainps don't take to it
very well! There should always be outputs
marked"+" and"-" for the speakers.
• Each speaker gets its own "+" and .. -".
• Near the audio ainp you will find a set of
Jumpers marked JPl. Make sure the short-
ing block is in the STEREO position, not the
MONO.
• The SP+ and SP- (pins 10 and L on a
JAMMA connector) are the left channel out-
puts.
• Next. to the JAMMA connector. There is a
.10" spaced 48-pin connector. Pin Al is the
right channel "+", and pin B 1 is the right
channel " "
The connector is clearly
marked.
NOTE
standard inputs and outputs for things like
trackballs and stereo audio sections, etc.
Who knows?
PHASING
One last note: Watch the speaker phasing,
i.e. make sure the speakers are wired iden-
tically: "+" going to "+" on the speakers,
connectors, PCBs and so on. This will give
you the maximum bass response.

Although I don't recommend this, if you're
careful you could solder wires directly to the
connector and add quick-disconnects for
board removal later.

standard. Maybe we could push for a new
version JAMMA vl .1 that would retain all of
