The Player/PINeBOT
by John 'Root' Pilarcik

This two-flipper game, from Williams
Electronics, was fl.Dl to play f ran my first
quarter on. This game is on the flashy
side with plenty of lights, etc. However,
I found the playing field to be set up in
a very unique manner.
wcated in the top center of the field are
five rows of lights with each row having
five lights each. When the player lights
all rows, a door opens which will hold two
balls, then release them giving the player
a two-ball play.
'!he player can go for the big points with
the left ranp shot trying to obtain what
is called solar Value. '!here's also the
Free-Ball Shot and by advancing the
planets, you reach the Special. I found
both set-ups to be a fun challenge and
very fair shots to go for. There is also a
2X to SX point value to help your score
along.
PIN"BOI' is a well balanced game all in
all. itlen the nachine first cane out,
800,000 points was the score for the first
game, but now the nachine has self
adjusted to 1,200,000 points, (a show of
the times l) .
Also, the player can start out with
getting 5,000 or 10,000 or 20,000 points
just fran shooting the ball into play.
