FIRE! experienced some changes after I
sent the rranual to the printer.
our LASER WAR pinball game is currently
shipping and is being received very well
in the field. Replacenent parts and
technical support for our pinball products
is supplied by our distributors, and
support is also available directly from
Data Fast Pinball.
FUSE C~ES
A major change involves the value of the
Power Supply fuse, F4. It is supposed to
be a 2-1/2 A, Slow-Blow fuse, rather than
a 4 A fuse nentioned (or noted) on pages
33, 37, 62, and 67 of the rranual. Change
the fuse rating for F4 in your game rranual
with this corrected value, please, on each
of those pages.
Mike Sikenberger is the Service Manager
And Louis Rudolph is the Electronics
Manager. The address/phone nurrber is as
follows:
Also, please check your game and verify
that F4 is a 2-1/2 A fuse; replace any
other value with the rated 2-1/2 A fuse.

800/KICKERS (toll-free)
Williams has recently learned of some
kicker coils that reportedly were
overheated or "burned." This situation
apparently is affecting rrostly the coil of
the left kicker. We suggest the following
as possible remedies:
1. Check the Kicker switch for proper
positioning and adjustnent. The front
switch blade should be touching the rubber
ring encircling the Kicker area on the
playfield, with a gap of 3/32" between the
front and rear switch contacts. Adjust the
switch blade gap by bending the rear
blade, not the front blade.
Incidentally, please note that proper
switch operation requires no rrore than
1/8" "forward" travel of the front blade,
when the rubber ring is pulled away from
the Kicker area.
Readjust the "forward" travel of the front
blade. Make sure it is firmly resting on
the rubber ring. Reset the back blade gap.
2. On the CPU board, check USO (7402) and
Q79 (TIP122). Either both of these
components may have becone damaged from
noise spikes.
