-.., PINBALL GAME RELAYS
Relays mounted on small PC boards with the
applicable 'snubber' circuitry parts are
now available. These are being included in
current garnes (OOAD Kil:l'GS, PIN*Bar);
however, they are also applicable to older
garnes (HIGH SPEED, GRAND LIZARD), when
replacements for the older relay and
separate components snubber circuits are
necessary.
Conversion Hints
By
prevent burned edge connectors on down
the line, on any game that you convert,
cut and tie all of the ground wires
together about three inches from the
connector, and do the same with the 5 volt
lines.
To
The part m.mbers for these Relay-Snubber
units are p/n C-11232 for those used in
the Solenoid/Flasher circuitry (with an RC
{resistor-capacitor) network in the relay
circuit), and p/n C-11232-1 for those used
in the General Illumination circuit
(without the RC parts).
This allows several connections instead of
just one or two, to carry the heavy
current demand of the board.
Also, when you set the 5 volts to the
correct level, don't measure it at the
power supply!
Measure it at the chip furthest away from
the edge connector on the logic board, for
it only matters on the logic board, not at
the power supply terminals.
HIGH EARNI1'(;S HINI'S!
Clean your playfield, polish the glass,
and do those preventive maintenance
touches that keep your garnes in top shape
for your players (and for your earnings).
,,.-.., System 11 (used on HIGH SPEED, GRAND
· LIZARD, PIN*Bar) has a great deal of
"audit" (bookkeeping) information
available, by which you can evaluate how
game features are affecting your earnings.
When you do the usual garne servicing, take
time to observe the percentages provided,
so that you can set your garne adjustments
to give the player a good game, and at the
same time, obtain a top rate of return.
Check the garne's manual to see the choices
on the rnany adjustments provided by
Williams. These adjustments are easily
made; you can 'fine tune' each game to fit
the players' skill at each location.
Good Adjustments= Good Games= High
Earnings!

By John Batistic
Cleveland Coin Machine Exchange
Cleveland, Ohio
AU'IOMATIC PRODUCTS
Automatic Products has announced that they
will be obsoleting their 10 price
accumulator for the older SMOKESHOP and
CANDYSHOP series machines. This will take
place as of January 1, 1987. They will no
longer build or repair accumulators at
their facility. They will, however,
continue to maintain parts for the units
through 1987.
There are several excellent electronic
accumulators available which will
interface with SK>KESHOP and/or CANDYSHOP
machines. It is suggested, that if you are
interested, you should contact your
nearest Automatic Products distributor.
There is a kit available from Automatic
Products for adding a four (4) price
electronic changer (either Mars or
Coinco). The kit may be ordered under the
following part nunbers:
Part #750099 ••••• For use with CANDYSHOP
or SNACKSHOP only
Part #750099-1 ... For use with PASTRYSHOP
only
nounted. The change was made beginning
with serial nunbers:
6000 Series ..... #6004963
7000 Series ..... #7009768
For machines below the above listed serial
nunbers there is a rubber self adhesive
pad available to put around the operate
switch to prevent the switch from
bottoming out. The part may be ordered
under part #460383. It is recomnended that
the rubber pad be added to all machines in
the field.
REFRESHMENI' MACHINERY INDUSTRIES (RMI)
The overflow bucket used on nodels 850,
8050 and 2000 is no longer available from
the manufacturer. RMI will substitute a
kit that will enable all machines to use
the new bucket now being used in
production.
The part nUIIber for the kit is #31487.
This kit consists.of a new bucket
(#31440), upper bracket (#31482), lower
bracket (#30973), two screws (#14487), two~
nuts (#11749) and a bead chain (#30766) of
the correct length (9 inches) for the
overflow bucket float.
The kit #31487 will be substituted for all
spare parts orders for the old bucket
#06922.
DIXIE-NARC()
Part #750108 through
Part #750108-7 ... For use with SMOKESHOPS
When ordering kits for SK>KESHOPS you rrust
specify the type of changer that will be
used and whether or not a digital display
will be used. Please note that the above
kits do not include a changer.
There has been a problem reported from the
field regarding the operate switches
breaking on the 6000 and 7000 series
SNACKSHOPS. The problem is caused by the
operate switch being bottomed out when the
door is closed, causing the switch to
break internally.
The problem has been corrected on
production units by indenting the sliding
panel deeper where the operate switch is
.
Dixie-Narco has announced a Multiprice Kit
used to convert single price vendors for
use with rrultiprice changers. The kit does
not include the coin changer. Changers
should be ordered separately. The kit
should be ordered as:
