Problem: High score table error.
When converting games with older style
Wells Gardner or Electrohome rronitors, the ·
picture may look "washed-out".
Solution: Install program update.
To rerredy this situation, clip and lift
pin 1 of RA4 (Resistor Array 4) near the
edge connector.
Due to a program error in the EXPRESS
RAIDER game, the 2nd player in a two
player contest cannot enter his or her
initials into the high score table when
the game options are set for an upright
cabinet.
If your picture is still a little too
bright, tie pin 1 low (to ground).
l'Ul'E: Pin 1 is the pin that attaches to
the wide 5V trace.
WILLIMS SEJml\RS TAKE 0010 BY S'laM
Torn Cahill of Williams Electronics gave a
series of seminars in three major cities
in Ohio. He was in Cleveland, March 18th,
Colunbus, March 19th and Cincinnati, March
20th.
The events were sponsored jointly by
Cleveland Coin, l-k>nroe Distributing, OMAA
and Williams Electronics.
The turnout was fabulous in all three
locations and everyone was glad to see
that so many operators are interested in
attending service seminars. After all, it
has been quite some time since service
seminars were cornronplace in our industry.

This can be corrected by installing a new
updated Eprorn at location 16A (CZ00-6A) on
the top pcb.
This Eprorn is available at any authorized
Data East distributor on an exchange
basis.
You can also correct the problem by wiring
the 1 player control inputs to the 2
player control inputs. For exanple,
connect 1P ~ to 2P ~ , 1P UP to 2P
UP, etc. Refer to the following edge
connector pin-out list if you select this
method.

HAT TRI(]{ games have been coming with
slide-on Arrpenol connectors to Wico
contact sets. The Wico contacts are
dished. The Anp slip-on connector is a
collapsed 'C'. If the 'C' goes into the
Wico dish, you will have an intermittent
working joystick.

The following circuit, when installed in
your GUNSM)KE, will change the control
panel inputs from three (3) fire buttons
with separate directions of fire to one
(1) fire button with the direction of fire
controlled by the joystick.
The Great All American Giveaway would best
describe their coin door. A curved wire
into the right coin return will actuate
the left switch. The usual penny flipping
also should return with the excellent?
games they have.
The PAC-MAN door had to be wired by a
tyro. If one coin switch is held down the
other will not work. we need 2 coin inputs
and have them wired.
Use care when plugging in the control
panel on HAT TRI(]{. If plugged in wrong it
will bum out a resistor on the control
panel. All plugs should be keyed.
Rintendo vs S!S'lBI nJal cabinet

This is a tenp:>rary problem/solution for
the time when and if an operator nust
operate only one game in a VS SYSTEM dual
cabinet.
If one game fails or it is necessary to
operate only one game in a dual cabinet,
then the RPS2A03 microprocessor on the
unused game side nust be rerooved to keep
it from resetting the other game in the
cabinet.
After you get this far, you will roost
likely encounter a strange sort of
interference in the working 100nitor. This
is roost likely caused by the fr~running
action of the unused 100nitor. To eliminate
the interference simply unplug the line
voltage to the unused 100nitor until you
get another game for the unused side.

If it jams -force it. If it breaks, it
needed replacing anyway.
