"TURBO" NOTES:
* STEERING BOARD MODIFICATION* TYPO ERRORS IN MINI OWNER'S MANUAL
Steering Board Modification
In order to improve the reliability of the Steering Sensor Board (P.N. 834-0119), a simple modification has been
made to the PCB (P.N. 171-0065) as follows:
1. Remove R2 and R5.
2. Replace R2 and R5 with two 180 ohm¼ watt 5% resistors (P.N. 471-0181).
3. Cut the PCB clad at that point between the base of the transistors Ql and Q3, and the "top" of the resistors R2
and RS, as indicated in Fig. 1.
4. Add an additional set of resistors ( 180 ohm ¼ watt 5%) across the cuts made in the PCB, effectively putting each
resistor in series with the base of each transistor. Please correct page 124 of your Owner's Manual (P .N.
420-0681) to reflect the modification.
