A handsome wood grain cabinet houses the new full color
19" monitor that can be easily connected to most any coin-
operated video game. "It's ideal for use in tournaments,
exhibitions, and new game introductions," said Stan Jarocki,
vice president of marketing for Bally/Midway Mfg. Co. in
Franklin Park, Illinois.
The monitor cabinet is mounted on top of the game unit
enabling spectators or prospective operators an unobstructed
view of the game action, greatly increasing interest.
This monitor is being made available to operators through
Bally/Midway.

"TURBO" NOTES:
* STEERING BOARD MODIFICATION* TYPO ERRORS IN MINI OWNER'S MANUAL
Steering Board Modification
In order to improve the reliability of the Steering Sensor Board (P.N. 834-0119), a simple modification has been
made to the PCB (P.N. 171-0065) as follows:
1. Remove R2 and R5.
2. Replace R2 and R5 with two 180 ohm¼ watt 5% resistors (P.N. 471-0181).
3. Cut the PCB clad at that point between the base of the transistors Ql and Q3, and the "top" of the resistors R2
and RS, as indicated in Fig. 1.
4. Add an additional set of resistors ( 180 ohm ¼ watt 5%) across the cuts made in the PCB, effectively putting each
resistor in series with the base of each transistor. Please correct page 124 of your Owner's Manual (P .N.
420-0681) to reflect the modification.

INTRODUCES LINE OF DESOLDERING SYSTEMS
AND CIRCUIT TRACK REPAIR KITS
Now available from A.P.E. (Automated Production Equipment
Corp.) are models EX-500, EX-550, and EX-525 for desoldering
printed circuit boards.
Models EX-500 and EX-525 are self-contained and utilize a
rotary and piston pump, respectively. Model EX-550 is pneumatic-
ally operated, utilizing a transducer to obtain vacuum. The air
supply is controlled via a solenoid.
All three units come complete with A.P.E. model EX-1000
desoldering handpiece with new improved heater and SCR controller.
Vacuum flow is foot-pedal operated on all units, leaving the
operator's hands free.
