Procedure: Remove the resistor block on the CPU board located at location 1.5B
( refer to figure l ). Add a 3 30pf capacitor between the 220 OHM resistor and ground as
shown in figure l.
On the game board, remove the resistor block at location LIO (refer to figure
2). Change the lk OHM resistor at location 12L (refer to figure 2) to a 330
OHM, ¼w resistor. Add a 330pf capacitor to the 330 OHM resistor as shown in
figure 2.
Game: "Kram"
Subject: No high score to date program
Solution: Upgrade ROM Revision
Parts Needed: On "Kram" ROM Set part number 16-00014-000
Procedure: Look at the ROM location 19 on the ROM 1/0 board. If it is not
KS19 or KR19-3 then a new ROM set is needed. Replace the ROM set with the
KS ROM revision.
Game: "The Electric Yo Yo"
Subject: Unable to give more than three Yo Yos a game
Solution: Upgrade ROM Revision
Parts Needed: One "Yo Yo" ROM set rev. (Yo) part number 16-00015-000
Disposition of Old Parts: Return for credit
Procedure: If the ROMs on the ROM 1/0 board are (Yu) ROMs, replace them
with (Yo) rev. ROMs.
Game: Power supply #08-00007-001 used on "Qix", "Alpine Ski",
"Wild Western", "Kram", "Electric Yo Yo"
Subject: BRl and BR2 heating up to the extent of breaking down
internally

Procedure:Power down game, remove power supply PCB
08-00007-001. Apply heat sink compound to the top of BRl and BR2
(refer to figure 3). Place a heat sink on top of BRl aligning holes and
making sure that heat sink doesn't touch any other components. Feed
the screw through the etch side of the power supply. Tighten the nut
snuggly. Repeat procedure for BR2.

SEGA'S NEW CUSTOMER SERVICE NUMBERS
As a part of SEGA's continuing commitment to increase customer
service capabilities for its Gremlin video game subsidiary, the company
has announced new toll-free numbers for technical service and parts
ordering information.
In California the number to call for technical service is 800-722-
8576 and for parts 800-722-8575. Out of state callers may receive
assistance by calling 800-854-1938 for technical service and 800-854-
1900 for parts.
" This expanded telephone service will enable us to serve the needs of
our customers in a more timely manner," commented Bob Klinefelter,
Customer Service Manager for Gremlin. "Our customer service tech-
nicians are trained to evaluate most problems by phone and to determine
the proper procedure the customer should follow. If that procedure does
not correct the problem immediately, we can assist the customer in order
the proper replacement part."
The addition of the California toll-free numbers is just one of many
changes SEGA is making to expedite service and parts to their
customers. Gremlin recently dedicated an additional 2,500 square feet
to its spare parts warehouse, and increased the number of technicians in
its customer service department.
A caller may reach a Gremlin Industries technician or customer
representative during the business hours of 7:15 a.m. to 3:45 p.m.
P.D.T. Monday through Friday.

A handsome wood grain cabinet houses the new full color
19" monitor that can be easily connected to most any coin-
operated video game. "It's ideal for use in tournaments,
exhibitions, and new game introductions," said Stan Jarocki,
vice president of marketing for Bally/Midway Mfg. Co. in
Franklin Park, Illinois.
The monitor cabinet is mounted on top of the game unit
enabling spectators or prospective operators an unobstructed
view of the game action, greatly increasing interest.
This monitor is being made available to operators through
Bally/Midway.
