TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE
1. Identify the symptoms.
2. Determine in what operation mode(s)
symptom(s) occur.
3. Use self test to help determine where
problem is.
4. Determine if problem is mechanical or
electronic in nature.
5. Check for common or shared circuits.
a. One, two or all displays.
b. One or all non-controlled solenoids
(lamps).
6. Use wire color codes to guide yourself
through game.
7. Check the easy first - fuses, wiring, self
test, burned out bulbs.
8. Intermittent problems:
a. Pinched or hanging wires (near side of
playfield).
b. Shorted lightbulbs (nearside of playfield).
9. Check voltage levels at their destination
points.
10. Call toll-free number with accurate
information.

The new Wells-Gardner color monitor ( 19"
19K4900 and 13" 13K4800 series) is equipped
with a special CRT, which is not interchangeable
with any 19" 19K4600or 13" 13K4700series
CRT.
Condition:
Pin cushion distortion and dynamic convergence
( outer edges) will be incorrect.

Coin door processor cable caution.
Solution:
Be aware that the cables are not keyed.
Procedure:
When replacing the coin door processor board,
make sure that the heat sink is toward the
bottom of the cabinet. Connect the cable that is
attached to the ROM 1/0 board to the connector
at the bottom of the board and then connect the
cable from the coin door to the connector on
top of the board.
