"DONKEY KONG JR."/ADDING A SLAM SWITCH
By Howard M. Smith, B&B Vending, Dallas, Texas
Based on our experience with front doors being kicked in on " Donkey
Kong", we are installing slam switches in every new "Donkey Kong
Jr." before we put them on location to prevent free credits.
A slam switch can be easily installed as described in an earlier
article on "Donkey Kong" slam switches (See S*TJ Vol. 4, No. 7,
Sept. ' 82). One side of the switch should be connected to ground, which
is any brown wire on the front door. The other side of the slam switch
should be connected to the positive end of C4 l , a 100 uf electrolytic
capacitor at location 1 K/ L on the CPU board. Route this wire through
the existing cable.

"HAUNTED HOUSE" LOWER LEVEL UP-KICKER FINAL SOLUTION
By Don Holtz, Banner Specialty Company, Pittsburgh, PA
New Circuit
I have read many solutions to the " Haunted House" kicker problem.
All of which have varying success.
My solution used the Gottlieb pop-bumper driver board to fire the
up-kicker coil. This modification has worked in every " Haunted
House" (about 40) with no return calls on this problem.
