"MOUSETRAP" STAND-OFF MODIFICATION
There is a possibility that one of the nylon stand-offs between the
logic board and the audio/color board (at position 1 lB on the
logic board) may rotate during shipping and short or cut the
traces near it.
To prevent such an occurrence it is recommended that the
stand-off be removed and left out or that the nylon "wings" be
clipped while you have the stand-off removed and then reinsert
the stand-off between the two boards.
If your board is malfunctioning, this is a good area to check to
see if these traces have been damaged by the stand-off.

M.B.C.C. manufactures control panel covers. In fact, that's just
about all we do make.* There is a big difference between ours and
the game manufacturers', though.
Ours are made using the same process as some of the highest
quality business machine companies. We use aluminum, so if
anyone lays a cigarette on our cover, it won't burn or melt. Our
printing is highly specialized. It won't wear off even with extremely
high traffic, because it is embedded in the molecules of the metal
itself. And the finish of the cover has a semi-gloss appearance, but
it is not accomplished by any coating like lacquer or varnish, etc.,
which may wear off. Spills from alcoholic beverages won't harm it
either.
It is more than a good idea that people prefer to play machines that
have a clean, orderly appearance. How many people would want
their TVs at home to look like they had germs breeding on them?
We can safely assume that a good looking machine will make more
money than a dirty looking one of the same type, especially as the
age of the player rises. And that is what is happening today,
especially with video machines.
We saw a major problem with most control panels, straight from the
factory. And what was offered to help the problem, in the way of
replacement covers, didn't help. This problem should not exist.
We believe M.B.C.C. has solved the problem. The next time you
need to replace a control panel cover, order one from us. Or take
advantage of our quantity discounts. Then your problems will be over.
