The EPROM Set consists of 7 EPROMs for
the top ROM PCB and 3 EPROMs for the
CPU (bottom) board.
EPROM Replacement Procedure:
1. Unlock and open the Rear Door. The
"Jungle King" Game PC boardset, located
on the inside of the Rear Door should be
removed as follows: Disconnect connectors
G, H, and T from the boards. Loosen and
tum the Stop Bracket; then pull the 3
boards (as a unit) towards you, out of the
board guide. Set the boardset on a flat work
surface component side facing up.
2. On the topmost (very small). circuit board,
remove and replace the EPROM chips as
shown in the table below. Refer to Figure 1
for EPROM chip locations as needed.
Remove the "old" chips, and replace with
the "new" chips supplied with this kit. The
label markings (KN52 etc.) denote the chip
identification numbers. IMPORTANT:
The notches in all EPROM chips MUST
face in the same direction when installed.
Chip KN55 will NOT be removed, and
should be used as a guide for notch direction.
When completed, inspect all replacements
to be sure all pins are in their sockets, and
that there are no bent pins.

3. Remove the bottom board from the boardset
by gently squeezing each of the six plastic
spacer/fasteners, allowing the bottom board
to be separated from the remaining boards.
4. Looking at the component side of the
bottom board, and referring to Figure 2 as a
chip location aid, make the following chip
replacements. IMPORT ANT: The notches
of all installed chips must face the same
direction as do notches of surrounding
chips.
Remove chip KN41 and replace with chip
KN41A from this kit.
Remove chip KN46 and replace with chip
KN46A from this kit.
Remove chip KN48 and replace with chip
KN48A from this kit.
Inspect all replacements to be sure all pins
are in their sockets, and that there are no
bent pins.
5. Install the bottom heard back to the board-
set, pressing lightly around each spacer to
refasten. Install the boardset into the board
guides and refasten the G, H, and T con-
nectors. Doublecheck all connections.
The conversion is complete after replacing the
cosmetics; control panel overlay, CRT cover-
glass, and the game marquee. Contact your
distributor for further information and
availability.
