"9 Ball" (Prototype)
Rom Mod
Problems:
1.
Lock-out problems (ball not
kicking out of lane, or outhold,
etc.) appear to be solved. (Left
lane is now run approximately
the same as the walker in
FLIGHT 2000. This should
correct all lock-out problems.)
2.
The game no longer gives out
random credits.
3.
Problems with SPECIAL award
not paying out when set to extra
ball corrected.
4.
Game now keeps correct High
Score to Date bookkeeping.
5.
Tilting the game while ball is in
left lane no longer locks up the
game.
6.
Add-a-ball feature now keeps
correct track of extra balls.
(Before it would only keep track
of 3, the 4th one would reset it
to 0.)
7.
Bonus multiplier now resets
correctly when threshold is
reached.
Cure:
Replace four original E PROMS
with updated 9 Ball V-60 U1, U2,
U5 and U6 E PROMS.

Serial No. 101 to 3900
Please be advised that the
strobe lite printed circuit board
(Part number A084-91359-B645)
has been manufactured with the
wrong valued resistors and long
continuous play of the "Space
Encounter" game could cause
the resistors to overheat;
thereby creating a potential
hazardous condition.
Disconnect the plugs leading to
the strobe lite printed circuit
board. The plug is located in the
upper right hand portion of the
cabinet. It is easily accessible by
opening the top back door.
The "Space Encounter'' upright
game will operate properly even
though the strobe lite printed
circuit board is disconnected.
New strobe units will be shipped
to the Distributors for all "Space
Encounters" games.

Centuri
"Targ" Cocktail &
Maxi "Eagle"
Monitor
Modification
The Sanyo Monitor used in the
Centuri "Targ" Cocktail Table
and Maxi "Eagle" is designed to
operate at 100 volts A.G. line
voltage. Due to an error in the
wiring harness, early production
of these games may have been
wired for 120 volts A.G.
operation. When the game in
question has been placed in a
location with a higher than
normal line voltage, the picture
may appear for a short time and
then disappear until the game is
shut off and turned back on . This
process will repeat itself until
corrected.
---------- TUBE ASSY. (REF.)
A645-00011 -0000
The cure is to find the unused
secondary tap on the isolation
transformer which usually is
extended to the power
connector at the monitor, and
terminated with shrink tubing.
This wire should replace the wire
on pin one (1) of this connector
for 1 00 volts A.G. operation.
