ME principal subject of conversation in the Magnavox
Salon at the Music Show was the fact that the Company
had chalked up the outstanding delivery record in the
industry. According to Mr. Frank Freimann, Vice
President, every effort is being made to guarantee the continuation
of this delivery performance. He remarked that he was quite hope-
ful the Company would he able to do this although, frankly,
Magnavox is looking after its present established dealers and not
expanding through new accounts.
Revisions Of Old Models
Two revisions ol old models of radio-phonographs and one new
one were shown Magnavox during the Show. This is in line with
the Company's policy of having no annual introduction of a com-
plete new line. The new model displayed was a Chippendale end

Magnavox Georgian (Model 521")

table or Chairside model combination equipped with an automatic
record changer. A feature of the set is its double action lid which
facilitates playing the radio portion without lifting up the whole
top. The cabinet lists at $125.00 and is available in either mahog-
any or walnut.
A revised Georgian combination was also displayed, and is
priced at $225.00. Equipped for V. M. installation, this feature
may be added for $45.00 more. The set is available in old world
mahogany, bleached mahogany, and walnut.
The other revised model was the Heppelwhite. .Although this
instrument has been widely copied throughout the industry, the
management decided to continue with it because of its consistent
popularity. The Heppelwhite will list at $198.00.
It was pointed out that the good delivery record is attributed to
the fact that so many of the parts used are manufactured at the
Magnavox factory in Fort Wayne, the Company being one of the
largest producers of speakers, condensers, and transformers. No
slowing down in delivery is anticipated. The Company has sub-
stantial Government ordinance work, but because of ample facilities
does not believe that this will in any way curtail civilian produc-
tion. Prices are somewhat higher than at this time last year, and
are expected to go even higher, due to increased labor and material
costs.

WURLITZER EXHIBIT
IS A MECCA FOR MANY DEALERS
The new IVurlilzer Spinette Model 380. Ile'ujht 34 inches
The Wurlitzer exhibit at the recent convention of the National
Music Merchants Association. New* York, was beautifully ar-
ranged and attractively decorated. All the latest models of Wurlit-
zer Pianos and Accordions were effectively displayed in colorful
settings. Choice paintings and Moral bouquets contributed to the
delightfulness of the exhibit.
One of the highlights of the exhibit was the very convincing
demonstration of the water-resistant qualities of Wurlitzer
Thermo-setting glue. A section of a curved plywood top panel of
a Wurlitzer piano glued with this remarkable adhesive was placed
in a large aquarium filled with water. The panel stood in the water
during the entire duration of the convention. After this severe
test the glued panel still held firmly.

The New Wurlitzer Spinette Model 380
One of the new Wurlitzer pianos which was the center of a
great deal of attention at the Convention was the Spinette Model
380. Its unique design by William Zaiser, distinguishes it in many
ways. The front lower panel is gracefully curved with artistic
tone louvre. Headed moulding along the bottom of the keyboard
and around the music panel, spiral legs, and crotch veneer on the
side panels add immeasurably to its beauty and charm.
The Model 380 has the Pentagonal Augmented Sounding Board,
six-post back, five-ply rock maple wrest pin plank and many
other outstanding Wurlitzer features which contribute to its full
rich tone and fine performance.
