FRIENDLY PROTECTION
UST as the lighthouse protects the
men at sea—so the Buescher Com-
pany has, through the years, followed
policies which protect the music deal-
er. As an illustration, we present the
following exchange of letters.
Our letter to one of our Dealers:
"The other day a Mr
,
who lives in your territory, called at
our factory and wanted to purchase a
new Buescher Cornet. As you might
know, this party expected to come to
the factory and buy an instrument at a
big discount.
"However, we do not offer instruments
for sale at a discount at any time and
we were able to sell him a new "400"
Cornet at the regular retail price. It
J
was a cash sale and your commission
check is enclosed."
Our dealer wrote us in answer:
"We have just received your letter and
the commission check. Accept our
hearty thanks. Believe me, this will be
a personal reminder to us to redouble
our efforts for Buescher!"
Here is a clean cut case of "Friendly
Protection" for the music dealer. If you
like such policies—plus one of the
fastest selling lines of Band Instru-
ments on the market today—then drop
us a card for complete details. You'll
find "Friendly Protection by Buescher"
the profitable policy for you. Address
—Dept. 444, Beuscher Band Instrument

W h o buys the Steinway?
Go through a Steinway representative's cards,
and you'll find such names as these:
Mr. S
, advertising man;'lives on Park
Avenue; has butler; home in California.
Mrs. B
, music teacher.
Mr. J
, runs a Greek restaurant.
Mr. L
, college professor.
Sometimes a butler does go with a Steinway,
but more often Steinway prospects are average,
middle-income Americans.
Any one who wants a good piano can be inter-
ested in a Steinway.
Steinway representatives know this well. Their
sales records over the years prove it.
The new Sleimvay Modem (hand, combining authentic present-
day styling with traditional Steinway quality. A real pace-maker!
