are in an exceptionally strong position to capitalize on the new piano
soles opportunities.
They have the quality, value, styling and nation-wide public ac-
ceptance of the Kimball piano back of which are resources—manu-
facturing, sales service, financial—unequalled in the piano manufac-
turing industry.
Manufacturing—The Kimball factory is the most complete plant
of its kind in America, manufacturing all actions, keys, hammers, and
many other parts commonly made outside piano factories, as well as
casting all plates that go into Kimball pianos. This is important to
Kimball quality standards becausa it gives Kimball absolue control
over the quality of the rad materials and control over the seasoning of
all wood parts before and after fabrication.
Sales Service—We know that when dealers sell Kimball pianos
their purchases become automatic. Therefore we operate a sales and
business service that is available to Kimball dealers at all times.
There is no problem of piano retailing that Kimball, in its 83 years,
has not bent its energies to solve, usually with success.
Financial—The W. W. Kimball Co. has no preferred stock, bond
or mortgage obligations. It owes no money to banks or to others ex-
cept for the current month's purchases. Its factory inventories, par-
ticularly in those materials which are improved with seasoning, are
heavy. Hundreds of dealers are operating with success under the
Kimball plan of financing which permits them to expand their busi-
ness without limit and without the usual financial worries.
