TREASURE
ISLAND
Inspired
This Newest
Masterpiece!
Today in San Francisco Bay a new
school of design is being born
"Pacifica"—an aesthetic concord of
the best decorative ideas from all
the lands washed by the great ocean.
Inspired by the grandeur of Treas-
a piano which, like "Pacifica", is
neither "Moderne" nor "Spanish"
nor "Oriental"
but which sug-
gests the underlying greatness of
all these themes. . . .
Designed as a special tribute to
Treasure Island, the Treasure Is-
land Spinet has received a nation-
wide recognition of merit.

America Produces
The World's Finest
Cabinetwood . . .
WALNUT!
General lilectric Radioforte Con-
sole of classic dcsi created with matched American
Walnut Stumpivood and Solid
Walnut Hand Carved Stile Caps.
WHY WALNUT IS OUR MOST WIDELY
USED CABINETWOOD
FIRST, ITS BEAUTY, its illimitable variety of interesting
figure types. Actually this one species, American Walnut, alone pro-
duces more than twenty attractive types, from the simplicity and
severity of plain striped quartered walnut, through plain and figured
sliced, figured half-round, figured rotary, on up the scale to the
highly figured stumpwood with angel-steps, swirls, feather type
crotches — and the most expensive of all, burl.
SECOND, ITS PHYSICAL PROPERTIES. But beauty alone
(even though more than skin deep in the case of walnut, which has its
color and figure grown into the wood) would not have been respon-
sible for walnut's use through hundreds of years, had it not been for
its outstanding physical properties. The testing laboratories all
report that it has an unusual combination of desirable physical
characteristics. For these two reasons walnut is of foremost impor-
tance to the manufacturer, dealer and purchaser of pianos and
other musical instruments.
MOREOVER, because it is our own native wood. American
Walnut appeals strongly to every loyal American citizen. Of your
American Walnut radios, pianos and combinations your salesmen
can say to their customers: "Here is a truly American product.
Your purchase of walnut products helps to bring purchasing power
to American farmers and timber-lot owners who raise the walnut
trees, makes jobs for American workmen in mills and laclmics.
helps to restore American prosperity."
Simplicity is the outstanding
characteristic of this Modern
Grand, in Genuine American
Walnut, bleached Pickle Finish—•
