Thousands of Apollo grand pianos grace fine homes, clubs, hotels,
and theatres. Many are costly styles richly encased by the art of the
hand carver. Many have been especially built and ornamented to meet
the personal desires of the purchaser.
No matter which Apollo style you choose you are assured the same
scientific construction; the same painstaking workmanship by loyal and
experienced craftsmen; and above all, the rare quality of tonal beauty
which is responsible for the enviable position which the Apollo occupies
among the finest pianos of the world.

smallest detail is never overlooked. Each meas-
urement is carefully checked before instruments
are allowed to leave the factory.
There are four main factors which must be
given great care and consideration in the build-
ing of a fine grand piano:—the scale,—the
action,—the sounding board,—design and finish.
The first three contribute to the production of
the tonal beauty and the fourth to the physical
appearance which plays an important part in
modern home decoration.
The scale of the Apollo was the result of many
months of laborious research. Mr. Clark brought
to this country an outstanding scale which was
proclaimed the model of perfection by notable
European artists. Mr. Clark and his assistants
made many comparative tests before the ulti-
mate scale perfection was achieved. Their final
selection of string sizes and lengths has proven so
satisfactory that the original specifications have
never been changed. This triumph of scale per-
fection contributes a most important part in the
production of the rich resonant tone of the
Apollo grand piano.
The Apollo action is a type which has for year
been famous in both Europe and America. It ha:
the smooth, even touch, so highly prized by criti
cal pianists. The precision in measurements per
mits the unusual repetitive and responsive charac
teristics. The thousands of parts are the finest o
selected materials and are painstakingly as
sembled by hand.
The sounding board of the Apollo is selectee
mountain top spruce, specially treated and care
fully seasoned. Its scientific crown permits un
distorted amplification of the true piano tone.
Designers of national reputation have givei
Apollo grand pianos their decorative charm. The
choice grained woods are permanently protectec
with lacquer, the most lasting of all finishes.
An Apollo grand piano justly carries with it c
sincere pride of ownership and will bring a life
time of both musical and decorative enjoyment
BUILT FOR THOSE WHO DEMAND PERFECTION OF MUSICAL PERFORMANCE
