MAJESTIC RADIO SCHOOL
The Majestic radio school in Chicago where free
lessons in salesmanship and service are given to
Majestic salesmen is attracting groups and individ-
uals from all parts of the country. Here they can
come in contact with men of the greatest experience
in the persons of their instructors, who are promi-
nently connected with the Grigsby-Grunow Co., manu-
facturers of the Majestic radio.
This school represents a unique departure in mer-
chandising training for retail dealers in an intensive
course covering one week. Officials of the Grigsby-
Grunow Co. give lectures on the newest developments
in radio and electric refrigeration.
Another thing which the men hear is definite in-
formation about the new Majestic electric refrigerator.
The trips also include an inspection of the Majestic
factories.
GRIGSBY-GRUNOW GREAT ENTERPRISE.
Beginning on June 2, the Grigsby-Grunow Co., Chi-
cago, put on about 10,000 additional workers and
increased the production rate to 4,000 sets daily. The
Majestic Household Utilities corporation, affiliate of
Grigsby-Grunow, will begin production of its re-
frigerator in July. A force of 5,000 people will be
employed with an initial pay roll of about $1,000,000
monthly, it was stated. With the increase in the
working force the pay roll of the Grigsby-Grunow
Co. will approach $2,000,000 a month.

McMackin Piano Service Sends Out Sample Boxes
of Work It Is Doing in Key Coloring.
Presto-Times acknowledges the receipt of a new
box of sample work from the McMackin Piano Serv-
ice, Des Moines, Iowa, which shows what the shop
is putting out in the way of recovering piano keys.
This lay-out is called "The Silent Salesman."
The company has 2,000 of these boxes to send out
and President L. E. McMackin is very desirous for
those interested to write to him for one of them, but
does not care to mail them out unless the requester
is interested. To callers at Presto-Times the samples
referred to may be seen at this office.
The box contains four different grades of key cover-
ing, and as Mr. McMackin puts it, "four different
prices of work to suit every dealer and tuner's pocket-
book." In the little box are samples of a key cov-
ered for a grand or high-grade piano; also a key for
an old piano and a black key, and smaller samples of
the material used together with the prices for putting
on 52 tops.
By the use of these samples Mr. McMackin is
enabled to keep his business in a steady state of
activity.

a member of the Radio Manufacturers' Association.
Mr. Grigsby declared that the Radio Corporation

"We are willing, when the right of the independent
manufacturer to live and freely pursue his business
has been established, to cooperate in every way in

of the radio industry," said Mr. Grigsby.
