MAJESTIC AND THE DE ROSES.
On the Majestic Theater of the Air program of
December 15 (9:00 to 10:00 p. m., Eastern standard
time), Wendell Hall will present • and feature one of
radio's pioneer harmony teams in their first appear-
ance over the air after their recent marriage. The
individuals composing this team were May Singhi
Breen and Peter De Rose. Mr. Hall will introduce
them as "Mr. and Mrs." De Rose. May Breen De
Rose has long been known as the "Ukulele Lady."
She has probably done more to promote the use of
the uke as an instrument for the accompaniments of
songs than any other one person. May and Peter
have been a broadcasting and entertaining team for
six years. Peter plays the piano with a professional
charm that makes his accompaniments for their duos
a musical joy.

CHICAGO POLICE USE RADIO.
Contracts for the erection of the first of three police
department radio broadcast stations in Chicago have
been let. The station is expected to be in operation
by Jan. 15. The unit, which will cost $20,000, will be
erected at the Warren avenue police station. "When
the unit is ready for operation there will be one hun-
dred and forty police cars equipped with receivers

better methods.
This huge tube carton, dwarf-
ing the one-ton truck that was its
personal escort, was used as a
publicity device in Cleveland.
More than seven feet high and
three and a half feet wide, it
attracted much attention during
the week of its showing. A
newspaper contest in which the
Sylvania F o r e s t e r s broadcast
group was the subject, ap-
p e a r e d simultaneously in the
Cleveland dailies. Both com-
ment creators were part of the
publicity marking the advent of
Krskine-Healy as Sylvania Dis-
tributors in the Cleveland terri-
tory.
The certainty of satisfaction in quality, in value and
in delivery is a great business builder.
