And THE PIANO PRE-EMINENT for the Average American Home
William and Mary
Period Design.
I N THE majority of chil-
dren the instinct for musical
expression is very sure and
deep. In the development
of character it is all-impor-
tant. The softening influ-
ence of beautiful music has
a profound .effect upon the
mysterious inner life of the
imaginative child. And in
school, at college and in
after-life the ability to play
the piano is an assW^f in-
calculable value.
Intelligent parents feel
today that they owe it to their children
to give them an instrument for self-ex-
pression which will allow this vital
instinct fullest play. And so, with
striking unanimity, they turn quite
naturally to the Steinway.
In the Steinway alone is found that
rare combination of qualities which
characterizes the finest of all pianos—
the wonderful singing Steinway tone
. . . durability to stand the test of
constant practice by childish hands
. . . beauty of line and form . . . an
honored name.
From the beginning the Steinway has
been "The Instrument of the Immor-
tals." Wagner, Liszt, Paderewski, Hof-
mann, Rachmaninoff, Rubinstein, Cor-
tot. . . . Virtually every musician oi
note since 1853 has chosen and played
the Steinway.
But the Steinway is first and fore-
most a piano for the home—and par-
ticularly for the home of limited income.

For no matter which price and model
you select, it will serve you as only the
best things can serve you, all your days.
And there lies the true index of econ^
omy. You need never buy another piano.
To be a leader in your community—sell
the leader.
From time to time as our
country develops opportunities to acquire the
Steinway franchise occur, only to be snapped
up eagerly by wide-awake dealers. Perhaps <$
your district is without a Steinway repre-
sentative.
An inquiry may win for you
this coveted honor.
