UNVEILING A STYLE B.
MARSHALL AND WENDELL
Teaser Window Display Is Planned for
Dealers Throughout the
Country.
Ampico Hall, in New York has, for the past few
days, had a Teaser Window Display to introduce the
Style-B Marshall & Wendell Baby Grand at $595.
This window, simple and inexpensive to prepare, has
caused tremendous interest and curiosity on the part
of the thousands of people who pass this display on
Fifth Avenue daily.
This instrument was unveiled in New York on May
15, at 1:00 p. m. by John Philip Sousa, the cele-
brated "March King." Immediately after the un-
veiling Mr. Sousa personally played upon the instru-
ment. He was followed by the well-known popular
artist, Victor Arden, who brought forth from this
charming and petite grand a tone so rich in its res-
onance, that the hundreds of onlookers marvelled.
The piano is set in the window, enveloped in yel-
low and purple crepe paper and attractively tied with
ribbon made up into a bow. The cost of the paper
and the ribbon does not exceed $4.50.
On one side of the piano is a display card with
reading matter telling about the small grand and the
date when it will be unveiled.
On the other side of the piano is a bouquet of yel-
low roses.

Louis A. Crittenton, a Scholarly Chi-
cagoan.
A retail sales counsellor, a credit man, a man with
a wide wholesale experience, one who is widely
known throughout the middle ^est for his inspira-
tional addresses before important trade and industrial
groups of men, Louis A. Crittenton, for thirty-six
years connected with the music industry, adds a
name of distinction and importance to the list of
speakers who will be heard at the Wednesday morn-
ing session, June 5. of the National Association of
Music Merchants at the convention at the Drake
Hotel, Chicago.
Mr. Crittenton was born in Chicago about a mile
frcmi the corner of Jackson and Wabash avenues.
His entire business experience has been in the Chi-
cago territory. Mr. Crittenton is a close student of
human nature, he is a man highly educated in the
great university of business experience.
Out of his wide business experience he has evolved
a remarkable fund of information and anecdotes and
has correlated these into an address which never fails
to interest business men. He has spoken before such
organizations as the Rotary, Kiwanis, Lions and Chi-
cago Electrical Clubs, Chambers of Commerce in
many cities throughout the middle west. He was
recently one of the principal speakers at the Indiana
Wholesale Grocers Convention and before the Manu-
facturers Agents Association in Chicago. His re-
markably interesting address is endorsed by the
Speakers' Bureau of the Chicago Association of Com-
merce and various other organizations. Mr. Critten-
ton takes for his subject "The Sunny Side of Sell-
ing." and while there is much sunshine in his talk, it
does get down to very serious, cold, hard facts as
well. This address will be one which cannot fail to
interest every music merchant or other members of
the trade who attend the meeting.
