Germany is by far the most important source of
supply for pianos of all kinds in Brazil and for "musi-
cal instruments unenuinerated," having furnished 87
per cent of the pianos other than automatics, 67 per
cent of the automatic pianos, and 54 per cent of the
musical instruments uncnumerated, during 1927. It
is understood that Germany also controlled the busi-
ness during- 1928.

The store of Charles M. Stieff, Inc., Washington,
