NEW YORK LETTER
(Continued from page 11.)
W. B. Williams on the Road.
W. B. Williams, eastern wholesale representative of
the Schiller Piano Co., Oregon, 111., left his office on
the 20th floor of the Bush Terminal Building, 132
West 42nd street, New York, on April 4 for a selling-
trip. Mr. Williams comes and goes, but wherever he
is he is always hustling for the Schiller.
Many Dealers Handle Hardmans.
At least 250 piano dealers in the United States are
selling Hafdman, Peck & Co.'s instruments, manu-
factured by the company whose headquarters are at
437 Fifth avenue. New York. Some new dealers are
added from time to time, but the steady output of

Roman de Majewski Will Attend Convention.
Among the important wholesale piano men at the
convention in Chicago in June will be Roman de Ma-
jewski of Steinway & Sons. Hermann Irion will also
be there to preside at the meetings of the Music In-
dustries Chamber of Commerce, as a matter of course.
LOUIS P. WAGNER HEADS
AMPICO HALL CHAIN
Valuable Years of Experience on the Road
and in Operating Ampico Sales Fits
Him for Work.
Louis C. Wagner, recently appointed head of retail
merchandising for the Ampico Hall chain, assumed
his new responsibilities with years of valuable experi-
ences as a preparation. Much of this experience has
been gained within the organization of the American
Piano Company, New York, and is of greater value
on that account.
Mr. Wagner was formerly a traveling representa-
tive for William Knabe & Co. and the Foster-Arm-
strong Company, and for the past two years he had
been manager of Ampico Hall in Boston. He is
highly esteemed, not only by the executive personnel
of the American Piano Company, but also by the
Individual store managers because of his winning
personality and spirit of helpfulness, which augurs
well for his success.

O young men looking for such an opportunity we

cities and towns in the United States, there is a great
shortage of piano experts, technicians and tuners.
The few masters there are, are earning large salaries
