BACK FROM SUCCESSFUL TRIP
F. W. Barnholdt, Capehart Sales Manager for Central
District, Visits Dealers in Three States.
F. W. Barnholdt, sales manager of the Capehart
Automatic Phonograph Corp., Huntington, Ind., re-
turned to his office in the Lyon & Healy Building,
Chicago, from a successful road trip in which he
covered the principal cities in the states of Wisconsin,
Michigan and Ohio. Mr. Barnholdt is enthusiastic
over the reception given him by music dealers, but
found it necessary to return after a ten-day tour in
order to be present at the operators' convention at the
Great Northern Hotel, Chicago.
Mr. Barnholdt when interviewed by a Presto-Times
representative expressed himself as being well satis-
fied with progress made by the Capehart Automatic
instrument.
"Dealers are beginning to realize the importance
of the Capehart instrument, its wonderful possibilities
and the profit it affords. It is not a side line propo-
sition because of its importance in music circles and
the wide field it covers."
The factory at Huntington, Ind., is operating at
capacity limit to supply present orders and in antici-
pation of a large volume of future business.
TO BROADCAST DINNER-DANCE.
A feature of the annual dinner-dance of the Talking
Machine & Radio Men, Inc., to be held April 1 at
the Hotel Commodore, New York, will be the broad-
casting of a period in the festivities. Committees
were named at a meeting held at the Advertising
Club, New York, last week whose duties will be to
work up the details of the function.
FIRE LOSS IN CHICAGO.
A fire last week in the State and Lake Building,
Chicago, caused a loss of $50,000 from fire and
smoke to the Lyons Band Instrument Co. A for-
gotten blowtorch left by a janitor who had been
thawing out radiators, is believed to have ignited
the wainscoting in the office of the salesroom.
