SONORA IN BIG MERGER
P. L. Deutsch Announces that Sonora Com-
pany Has Acquired Full Rights in Several
Other World-Known Corporations.
I'. L. Deutsch, president of the Acoustic Products
Company and the Sonora Phonograph Company, Inc.,
has announced that the Acoustic Products Company
has acquired the full rights and interests of the Wm.
11. Bristol Talking Picture Corporation, the Asher,
Small & Rogers Corporation, the Gotham Bristol-
phone Service Corporation, and the Lesser-Warner
Productions in the world-wide Bristolphone patents.
Upon the acquisition of these rights the Acoustic
Products Company will also take over all the con-
tracts which the Gotham Bristolphone Service Cor-
poration and the Lesser-Warner Company have out-
standing for the distribution of Bristolphone machines
and all outstanding licenses for producing pictures
with sound under the Bristol patents.
"A new corporation will be formed," said Mr.
Deutsch, "in which all of the above interests will be
combined and in the management of which Chas. R.
Rogers will be actively engaged. This new corpora-
tion will probably combine the names of Sonora with
Bristolphone, and will have exclusive distributing
rights on the Sonora Bristolphone for the entire
world; the company will also have the sole rights for
the licensing of producers to employ the Bristol
process of synchronizing sound with pictures. The
Acoustic Products Company will manufacture the
machines which the new company will sell and service.
The Wm. H. Bristol Talking Picture Corporation
already has extensive manufacturing plant and film
studios at Waterbury, Conn., and the producing cor-
porations have modern studios at Hollywood and
there is now added to this organization the manu-
facturing and distributing resources of the Acoustic
Products Company and the Sonora Phonograph Com-
pany, including the plants at Saginavv and Stamford,
