WILMETTE BUSINESS DISCONTINUED
One of the oldest music shops on the north shore
of Lake Michigan, Patterson Brothers, 816 Church
street, Wilmette, 111., will go out of business in Evan-
ston shortly, following the recent leasing of the build-
ing occupied by the firm. The lease goes into effect
November 1 and it is learned that the business will
probably be taken over by a Chicago man whose
identity was not disclosed. Bernard F. Patterson
and his brother, James K. Patterson, founded the firm
twenty-five years ago. Later another store was es-
tablished on Irving Park boulevard in Chicago. Ber-
nard died four years ago and last March the property
was divided, James turning over the Evanston store
to Mrs. Patterson and devoting himself to the Chi-
cago store.
The Commissioners of Lincoln Park, Chicago, in
a booklet just published, give a partial idea of Lincoln
