Banks M. Davison was elected president of the
Boston Music Publishers' Association last week at
a meeting of the Boston Art Club. Other officers
elected were: Vice-President, Charles W. Homeyer;
secretary-treasurer, James A. Smith. President-
elect Davison and Vice-President-elect Homeyer
acknowledged their unanimous choice with words of
thanks. Secretary-Treasurer Smith, too, voiced his
willingness to accept.
THE STANDARDIZED UKULELE.
The National Association of Musical Instruments
and Accessories Manufacturers has adopted specifi-
cations for a standard approved ukulele, the first
musical instrument to be standardized. It took two
and a half years and the constant efforts of H. C.
Lomb of Elmhurst, L. I., chairman of the committee
in charge of standardization, to accomplish the de-

from Chicago to St. Marys. The new factory will

persons in the manufacture of banjos, guitars and
