One of the last remaining records of the genius
of Sarah Bernhardt will be on exhibition at the
Chicago Playhouse, 410 South Michigan avenue,

French stage, but never performed in America.
Co-featured with "Jeanne Dore" will be "Jungle
Gods," an authentic drama of witchcraft and voodoo-
ism as practiced by the natives of Xorthern Rho-

RAY HENDERSON PRAISES
THE HAZELTON PIANO
Composer of "Manhattan Mary" Congratulates Piano
Manufacturer in Pleasant Letter.
An interesting bit of news, not only to Hazelton
dealers throughout the country but to the trade at
large, has been disclosed in a letter to J. B. Schwarcz,
Hazelton Bros., Inc., 637 West 55th street, New York
City, from Ray Henderson of De Sylva, Brown &
Henderson. The Hazelton is used exclusively in the
studios of De Sylva, Brown & Henderson, Inc., who
are responsible for the music of several outstanding
hits.
Mr. Henderson and his associates stand among the
foremost of the popular present day composers. Mr.
Henderson's letter shows, in unmistakable terms, the
high regard that the organization holds for the Hazel-
ton instruments which are used exclusively in their
studios:
My dear Mr. Schwarcz: Thank you sincerely for
your recent letter asking us if there is any service
you might extend to us on the Hazelton pianos
now used exclusively in our studios.
We are pleased to tell you that the Hazeltou in-
struments are all in excellent condition, notwith-
standing the continuous use to which they are sub-
jected by our staff,
We have found your instrument to possess un-
usual tonal quality and correctness in scale, so essen-
tial to us in our work. I need hardly mention dura-
bility, for this has become a by-word in our organiza-
tion, for many of our Hazelton Brothers Pianos have
been in daily use in our studios and have required
practically no attention excepting-, of course, the
periodical tuning which we give them.
Thank you sincerely for your congratulations on
the great success accorded our music in the out-
standing hits, "Good News" and "Manhattan Mary,"

TO MOVE TO NEW QUARTERS
Estel H. Hancock Music & Radio Company Makes
Extensive Improvements in New Store.
Estel II. Hancock, proprietor of the Estel H. Han-
cock Music & Radio Co., Seymour, Ind., announced
that he had leased a building on North Chestnut
street, and will move his store from East Second
street to that building. The change will be made
in March or April after extensive improvements have
been completed, it was stated.
"It is our intention to make this store the most
complet and attractive music and radio sales room
in southern Indiana," said Mr. Hancock. We will
have special arrangements for the display and sale
of pianos, sheet music, musical instruments, phono-
graphs, records and radios. We want to make this
store attractive and comfortable for our customers.
The improvements will be started at once so that
we can occupy our new quarters in March or not
later than April."
Mr. Hancock has been engaged in the music busi-
ness here for a number of years and has been very
successful. His trade extends throughout southern
Indiana and his new quarters will permit further
expansion of his business.

'"We are entirely satisfied with the Baldwin grand
piano with the Welte reproducing action," writes
H. A. Wylan, treasurer of the Board of Education,
Superior, Wyo. "It fills our needs thoroughly.
"We are located practically on the Continental
Divide, several hundred miles from any city where
our pupils would have the opportunity of hearing
the masters perform at the piano, and we are en-
deavoring to teach musical appreciation by bringing
the works of the masters to the pupils via the Bald-
win Welte method.
"The board was rather skeptical as to the repro-
ducing qualities of any piano, but after hearing the
Baldwin Welte Mignon, they felt that the results
would be far-reaching in our school, and that our
pupils would be able to understand just how the
masters interpret their compositions.
"I have no hesitation in recommending the Bald-
win Welte Mignon to any school system contem-
plating the installation of a reproducing piano."
