REMINDER OF SARAH BERNHARDT
One of the last remaining records of the genius
of Sarah Bernhardt will be on exhibition at the
Chicago Playhouse, 410 South Michigan avenue,
Chicago, beginning Sunday, January 22. It is "Jeanne
Dore," a motion picture version of Tristan Bernard's
play, in which the divine Sarah appeared on the
French stage, but never performed in America.
Co-featured with "Jeanne Dore" will be "Jungle
Gods," an authentic drama of witchcraft and voodoo-
ism as practiced by the natives of Xorthern Rho-
desia. This is the first motion picture of its kind
ever filmed. It was made by Capt. Carl Von Hoff-
man, F. R. G. S., who spent eight months with the
Chiwali tribe of the Lala Totem.
