WESSELL, NICKEL & GROSS
Added Features to Device of Bowen Piano Loader
Co., Evoke Appreciation of Trade.
The Bowen piano loader, made by the Bowen
Piano Loader Co., Winston-Salem, N. C , is now
generally recognized as a necessary equipment for
piano dealers and admittedly is invaluable to the
piano salesman who works the suburban or country
trade. Now the company announces added features
which increase its desirability.
The new model of The Bowen Piano Loader Co.
is evoking increased interest in the trade and resulting
in increased activities in the factory. In the new
model 'the "push back" arrangement has been dis-
pensed with, thereby greatly simplifying the opera-
tion of the device.
Another new feature that pleases the dealer and
mover is an improved padded strap that will not mar
the top of a piano. And a valuable feature and one
appreciated by the users is that the loader does not
rattle. The new model Loader attached to the new
model Ford roadster assures comfort, speed and
safety in delivering- pianos. The equipment makes it
possible for one man to load or demonstrate an up-
right or a small grand to a customer.
SPECIAL SAXOPHONE PARTS.
The tremendous popularity of the saxophone is
expressed by the decision of some of the music pub-
lishers to include a saxophone part as an innovation
with some of their song numbers. The part will be
saparate from the piano arrangement so that the
saxophonist may place it in the best position, on
a stand or on the edge of the piano, while being
accompanied by a pianist.

UPHOLSTERED TONKBENCHES
Tonk Manufacturing Company at Its Two Factories
Is Prepared for Dealers' Demands.
A very prominent feature of the trade at this time
is the constantly increasing favor for upholstered
piano benches and the Tonk Manufacturing Co., 1912
Lewis street, Chicago, has, as usual, anticipated the
demand and presents a wide and varied line of up-
holstered Tonkbenches. The new upholstered line
has the new charms of fabric and color and, of course,
the old merits of tasteful design and reliable con-
struction.
Ordering by mail or telegraph is facilitated by the
new folder showing the many beautiful fabrics used
in the making of the upholstered Tonkbenches.
Stocking a line of the upholstered Tonkbenches by a
dealer is expressive of his willingness to meet the
average increasing demand for beauty and harmony
in the decoration of the home.
A similar wide line of upholstered Tonkbenches is
available at the factory of the company at 4627 East
50th street, Los Angeles, from which the Pacific
Coast trade is served.
THE CUBAN PARCEL POST.
The committee on ways and means has recom-
mended to the House of Representatives the passage
of a bill which makes possible the continued export
of small musical instruments by parcel post to Cuba.
A temporary agreement to that effect now in force
will expire June 30.
INCREASES MANUFACTURING SPACE.
A four-story addition to the plant of the Leedy
Manufacturing Co., makers of drums and percussion
instruments, Indianapolis, calling for an expenditure
of $100,000 has been planned. More manufacturing
space is considered a necessity owing to the increase
of the export business of the house.
