Two firms in Belleville, 111., recently introduced the
new Victor Orthophonic Victrola to the public, each
providing public demonstrations of the instrument.
The Walter L. Rhein Piano Co. and the Knapp Piano
Co., Victor dealers, featured the instrument at their
respective places of business, October 30.
Following the private demonstration, a big public
presentation of the Orthophonic Victrola took place
at the Knapp Piano Co. and the Walter L. Rhein
store on November 2, opening at 8 a. m., and con-
tinuing until 5:30 p. m.
At both the private demonstration and the public
presentation Monday, the Orthophonic instrument
was played in comparison with the old-type instru-
ment, to give its hearers an accurate conception of the
vast musical advance that has been made.
