Julius Modell, a New York dealer in radio sup-
plies, was indicted on Saturday last for violating the
trademark law in the sale of a radio tube said to have
been bogus, January 31, in his store at Vesey and
Church streets. The offense charged is a misde-
meanor. John J. Israel, an agent for the Radio Cor-
poration of America, said Modell sold him a radio
tube bearing the label, "Radiotron, UV201A," which
was a counterfeit of tubes of that class made by the
corporation.
A new movement to save the country's forests and
eliminate waste in manufacture was inaugurated re-
cently in Washington when the National Committee
on Wood Utilization met at the call of Secretary
Hoover and with the approval.of President Coolidge.
