An effective show window leads to as many sales
of player music rolls in the store of Lyon & Healy,
Chicago, as many an attractive type display in the
newspapers, and the window dressing artist of the
company always produces something original. One
last week was a source of interest to every wayfarer
on Wabash avenue, but particularly to owners of
playerpianos.
It was a display of Q R S music rolls and the
manner of presenting and impressing a fact about
them is seen in the accompanying cut. It was an
excellent echo of the recent announcement of the
Q R S Music Co., Chicago, of the price of $1 now
in effect on Q R S Word Rolls, and the Lyon &
Healy show window display had a most stimulating
effect on sales of Q R S rolls during the week.
EXPECTS BIG GRAND BUSINESS
Chas. L. McHugh, President of Standard Action Co.,
Speaks Confidently of Trade in 1925.
When Chas. L. McHugh, president of the Standard
Action Co., Cambridge, Mass., was in Chicago re-
cently he remarked to a representative of Presto that
he had recently found trade conditions most excel-
lent. He added that many piano manufacturers were
this early in the year ordering for the entire year's
requirements, which he considered an indication of
good conditions in the piano business and of confi-
dence in trade for 1925.
Mr. McHugh has just returned to Cambridge and
verifies every statement he previously made as to
the favorable outlook for this year. He has recently
visited the entire piano manufacturing field and every-
where noted increased confidence among manufac-
turers and the trade in general. He looks for a big
grand piano business this year and says that his
house has booked an unusually good number of
orders for the Standard Grand Action.
