WANTS OF LOUISIANA BUYERS.
Enameled, plated, chased and burnished finishes are
much in demand by the band instrument buyers in
the New Orleans Conn Co., New Orleans, La., ac-
cording to H. C. Voorhies, manager. The demand
for the more elaborate instruments means bigger
prices, but the Louisiana customers seem willing to
pay for their fancies.

Stores Company opened up its new musical mer-
chandise department under the management of C. A.
Hewett, a progressive young man with ten years of
musical merchandise experience. The new depart-
ment is located on the first floor of the store, where
an equipment of modern cases helps to make a strik-
ing display of the complete line of small musical mer-
chandise. The new lines and the department add
greatly to the attractiveness of the store and are fully
