Quality's Supreme Achievement
HE ever increasing popularity of Packard Pianos is due to their
T
high, dependable quality. No detail in the Packard is slighted.
The features that are hidden beneath the surface possess the same
high quality as those that can be readily seen.
Packard Pianos are made by happy, contented workmen—who put
themselves into their work—not just their time. Packard quality
starts in the minds of the men in the shop.
Be fair with yourself. Look into the Packard proposition. One of
the big things in it is Packard service—that cooperation which we
give that helps you sell pianos.
You will feel like putting your time, money, effort and enthusiasm
back of our proposition—and that's the only way to build for the
future.
Every Packard Piano you sell will prove a genuine block of
strength in the erection of your success structure. The Packard
is safe, sure and strong, and will stand the test of time. Build
right—and we'll help you build.

New Publication Gives Economic Progress of World
From American Viewpoint.
The Department of Commerce has announced the
publication of the second annual issue of the Com-
merce Yearbook. The Yearbook has been prepared
in response to the demand of American business
men, bankers, economists, and the trade press for an
authoritative annual reference work upon economic
progress throughout the world from the point of
view of American industry and commerce. It re-
views the broad economic currents developed during
the year, and at the same time it aims at the sys-
tematic consolidation of statistics as to production,
distribution, prices, and markets for American com-
modities over long terms of years.
Statistics of this kind have in the past found their
way into many different publications, but they have
never before been systematically consolidated for
ready reference. The Commerce Yearbook thus
serves as a companion volume to the Statistical Ab-
stract, published by the Department of Commerce.
In addition to the compilation of information with
respect to American industries, the book contains a
summary of the fundamental economic data in all of
the important foreign countries where American prod-
ucts find their market.
"The Commerce Yearbook is published to meet the
need not merely for a reference source to be con-
sulted for specific facts on the recent past of business
but for a book which can be read for general com-
mercial information and as a survey of the most im-
portant economic developments of the year," says
Dr. Julius Klein, director of the Bureau of Foreign
and Domestic Commerce, in a foreword. "It is
thought that the facts contained in this issue and its
successors will be of assistance in laying out long-
