THE CONN CO., ATLANTA
That Is the Title of Business Moved Last Week to
221 Peachtree Street.
The Conn-Atlanta Co., Atlanta, Ga., recently moved
from the corner of Auburn avenue and Ivy street to
221 Peachtree street, where a splendid new store has
been leased and which will be operated under the
name of the Conn Co. Here the Conn Co. intends to
stock the largest assortment of band and orchestra
instruments to be found anywhere in the South.
The Conn Co. is under the supervision of the
Conn-New Orleans branch, but this is only a tempo-
rary arrangement pending 1 readjustment following
the resignation of C. R. Clark, its former manager.
.William Ritter, formerly with the Conn-Atlanta
Co., is manager of the new store.
from Cheyenne to San Francisco. The airplane post-
age charges include the transportation to or from
the air-mail route as well as the transportation by
plane. Special airplane stamps are issued and may
be obtained at almost any postoffice; but any current
postage stamps may be used, provided the envelope
is plainly marked "Via air mail."
AIDS DEALERS' PROMPT SERVICE
Air Mail Service Means Quicker Deliveries of Special
Orders.
The music dealer is now enabled to be up-to-the-
hour in his orders by mail receipts of rolls, records
and sheet music. The new air mail service between
New York and San Francisco, inaugurated July 1,
will greatly expedite the delivery of mail for all sec-
tions of the country. This is the only air service
now operated by the Post Office Department.
Any mailable matter will be carried, including
sealed parcels not exceeding 50 pounds in weight and
not exceeding 84 inches in length and girth combined,
with postage at the rate of 8 cents an ounce or frac-
tion of an ounce for each zone or part of a zone.
The route is divided into three zones: From New
York to Chicago; from Chicago to Cheyenne; and
RADIO IN POLICE WORK.
One hour and forty-five minutes after the descrip-
tion of an automobile stolen from Fifty-first Street
and Seventh Avenue, New York, at 2 o'clock in the
morning, recently, had been sent out over the radio
from Police Headquarters the machine was picked
up in Main Street, Stamford, Conn.

CROW NOT STATIC
An aftermath of the Democratic convention was
heard in Police Magistrate Goodman's court last week
in New York between Mrs. Kuni Schlott, west side
rooming housekeeper, and Miss Virginia Pope, man-
ager of a "bird hospital" next door. Among Miss
Pope's feathered menagerie, Mrs. Schlott said, was
a crow which screamed so loudly that it drowned out
convention proceedings on the rooming house radio.
After each "Ala-bam-a casts twenty-four votes for
Underwood," Mrs. Schlott said, the crow cried:
"Ha.w-haw-haw, caw-caw-caw." Miss Pope alleged
that in all the sixteen years she had owned the crow
no person had ever complained. Magistrate Good-
man adjourned the case until health authorities could
investigate.
NEW RODEHEAVER RECORDS.
Homer Rodeheaver, the well-known evangelist, has
returned from his world-wide trip and the first words
he spoke when he arrived in New York were, "I am
glad to be back." Already he has recorded some
inspiring numbers to be released soon on Gennett
records as recording dates had been arranged before
his arrival from his tour. Rodeheaver is the same
vigorous, enthusiastic personality his thousands of
admirers have always known him to be and he is
eager to return to his work in Winona again. Look
for announcement of his new Gennetts. They will be
out soon.
RADIO RECITAL ADVERTISES.
Olie R. Kramer is manager of a new store opened
last week in Batavia, O. A radio concert every eve-
ning is good publicity for that phase of his business.
Mr. Kramer has been receiving many compliments
on the clearness and great volume of the five-tube
service Reflex radio set that is being used for the
public concerts held every evening at 7:45 p. m., to
which everyone is invited.
