In the evening special busses conveyed the officers,
staff, and friends to the Edgewater Beach Hotel on
the Lake front, where a banquet was served, the
company being entertained with a program of Hearst
music rendered by the famous Edgewater Beach
Hotel Orchestra under the direction of Danny Russo.
Dancing followed.
Associated with Mr. Quigley in the Chicago offices
are: C. F. Parrish, sales manager; Billy Thompson,
professional manager; Miss Bernice Horwitz, secre-
tary; Erwin Schmidt, Billy Vitchel, and Miss Ellen
Converse in charge of the Band and Orchestra De-
partment.

Supreme Court of New York Hands Down Decision
Favorable to E. S. Marks Music Co.
In the New York Supreme Court last week Justice
O'Malley handed down a decision in the suit of the
E. S. Marks Music Co. against Leo Feist, Inc., and
the Karczag Publishing Co. E. B. Marks had claimed
through his attorneys, Roth & Altman, that he held
the publishing* rights to the score and lyrics by
Dorothy Donnelly and Sigmund Romberg of "Blos-
som Time" before Karczag and Feist, through assign-
ment from Herzmansky, of Berlin, Germany. Feist,
through Gilbert & Gilbert, moved for judgment on
the pleadings to dismiss the Marks' complaint, be-
cause of the allegation that it does not set forth a
sufficient cause for action. Justice O'Malley decided
Schaff Bros.
