LISTS WELL SELECTED
The Automatic Music Roll Company, 1510 Dayton
street, Chicago, has issued its October bulletin of
music for electric pianos, organs, orchestrions and
Secburg specials, all rolls with the snap that draws
the coins to the slots. This bulletin gives the rolls
for Seeburg Xpression or Style X pianos heretofore
catalogued separately. Music for this style piano
will always be found hereafter in the bulletin of the
Automatic Music Roll Co.
If in doubt as to what sort of roll to order, dealer
or piano owner should send name and number of in-
strument.
In ordering from this list the instructions of the
company are: "Be sure to state the name and style
of your piano and give the diameter of core which it
requires. This will insure your receiving your music
without delay."
In the new releases are nine new rolls of popular
music for all standard 65-note rewind coin-operated
pianos. Also Seeburg styles A, B, C, E, F, K, P G A

burg Style X, Xpression pianos only. These rolls

BUESCHER AGAIN EXPANDS
New Addition to Band Instrument Factory at Elk-
hart, Ind., Will Increase Productiveness.
Pictured here in process of construction is the new-
est addition to the mammoth Buescher factory at
Elkhart, Indiana, largest manufacturers in the world
of exclusively high-grade band instruments and saxa-
phones.
Ground was broken for this addition in May last.
It will house correspondence and clerical depart-
ments now in the main building and whose removal
to the new wing will allow expansion of various me-
chanical departments heretofore crowded beyond ca-
pacity. Talking with a representative of Presto, F.
A. Buescher, active head of the Buescher Band In-
strument Company, said:
"In planning this addition we have aimed at over-
coming the dissappointments some of our large deal-
TUNERS"
Here are
BASS STRINGS
ers experienced during the holiday season last year.
We expect to take care of our trade without delay
this year.
"The trade should remember, however, that no mat-
ter how large our facilities may be, it is not at all
likely that we shall ever be able to take care of the
dealer who orders in the first weeks of December the
Buescher instruments he expects to sell during the
Christmas holidays.
"It would be the height of folly for us to over-
extend. We are in position to care for the natural
expansion that has accrued through propaganda and
advertising of Buescher instruments as home instru-
ments and as the best instruments for professional
band and orchestra players. We gauge the broad-
ening of the market to represent an increase of 25
per cent over last year's business and we are now in
position to give the best of service to the trade that
is ordinarily forehanded in the placing of orders.
"Plans we have in preparation comprehend an ex-
tension of the field for the cupped mouth-piece instru-
ments. A mute we have just perfected solves all the
problems of practice at home and we look for a very
great increase in the demand for trumpets, cornets
and trombones within the next year."
The Background
A BUSY ROLL
DEPARTMENT
TALKING MACHINE MEN MEET.
The weekly meetings and luncheons of Talking
Machine Men, Inc., the trade organization of the
states of New York, New Jersey and Connecticut,
were inaugurated for the fall and winter terms at a
luncheon and meeting last week at the Cafe Boule-
vard, New York. The proper handling of records to
ensure profit was a topic discussed. Some new songs
of a publishing house were demonstrated.
The remodeling operations in the San Diego store
of the Wiley B. Allen Co. made with the expenditure
of between $25,000 and $30,000 have been completed.
