the "Cadillac." The instrument is a combination of
the Robert Morton organ and Fotoplayer. It is of
convenient and inexpensive installation, and the ef-
fect is imposing.
The Cadillac salesroom in Frisco is said to be
the finest, automobile showroom in the world.
Whether regular musical recitals are contemplated or
not, it is certain that the wedding of art and speed
is an innovation which will attract general interest
and, probably, lead to more organ sales.

FIRST TO COME OF THE
SEASON'S GREETINGS
Beginning of the Annual Shower of Good Wishes
and Signs of Friendship.
The custom of mailing bright messages of good
will for the New Year is making glad the hearts of
members of the music trade everywhere. There will
be a fuller shower of the cheery words this season
than usual, and there are many reasons for being
thankful. The very first message to reach Presto
this year came from E. H. Uhl, from far off China.
The first mailed in this country came from Arthur
L. Wessell, of Wessell, Nickel & Gross, New York:
"A good old fashioned greeting
These few friendly words today,
Just to wish you Merry Christmas
In a good, old fashioned way;
That same old-time remembrance
That's been wished to you before,
With a happier happy New Year
Than you've ever had before."
Then followed a number of the warm expressions
from others, such as we all treasure, with which to
start the shower which will accumulate till the year's
best day passes and the New Year begins. And
among them:
"Kindest thoughts and best wishes for Christmas
and the New Year."—Charles E. Byrne.
"With sincere greetings for Christmas and best
wishes for the New Year."—James C. Henderson,
Orange, N. J.
"With cordial Christmas Greetings, and may the
New Year hold for you a full measure of Health
and Happiness."—Mr. and Mrs. Geo. P. Bent, Los
Angeles, Cal.
"We extend to you the Season's Greetings, and
take this opportunity of expressing the hope that
the pleasant associations and friendly co-operation
that have made our business relations a personal
pleasure, and have materially aided us in our efforts
to please our customers, may long continue.—Brin*-
kerhoff Piano Company."
One of the most beautiful cards to come is from
the Steger & Sons Piano Co. It is unique and of
great beauty of^design and engraving. The Viking
ship in background of gold is fine, and the message is
equally so:
"Like the treasure ship of old, full fraught with
precious things—so may Christmas and the New Year
come to you, laden with all that will make for your
happiness and prosperity.
Steger & Sons Piano Mfg. Co."
From the wholesale manager of Lauter Co., New-
ark, N. J., comes a hearty greeting:
:
"A Merry Christmas and a Happy New Yea*,
This together with health and prosperity is my per-
sonal wish to you for the ensuing year.
A. E. Schmalzigan."
A real work of art is the special "Greeting" from
The Cable Company, Chicago—perhaps the most
elaborately elegant card that the trade has employed,
with which to hail fellow workers and contemporaries.
It carries the fireside scene followed by:—"At this
Christmastime let us draw up our chairs before the
Fireside of Friendship with those whose happiness is
our happiness. Let us in memory of old days and
old times talk over the friendships that have made
the past so worth while, and that give such courage
and promise to the incoming year.
The Cable Company, Chicago."
