ASK DISMISSAL OF SUIT,
The Consolidated Music Corporation, Irving Ber-
lin, Tnc, and other defendants named in the Gov-
ernment's Sherman law suit, alleging restraint of
trade and competition in the sale of word-rolls, last
week through their counsel, Gilbert & Gilbert of
43 Exchange pi., New York, filed answers in the Fed-
eral District Court. They admit the making of the li-
cense agreement of March 11 last, mentioned in the
Government's complaint, but assert it was cancelled
April 1 and that it now is the desire of the defend-
ant to secure the observance of fair competitive
methods. Because of the abrogation of the license
agreement the defendants ask for the dismissal of
the suit.
EXHIBIT A SUCCESS.
The Anderson Piano Co.. 40 High street and 130
High street, Hamilton, O., had a large and remark-
ably interesting exhibit at the recent Fair in that
city. But much greater exhibits were .made at the
two big stores of the company. Besides the great
advertising value of the exhibit at the Fair, many
good customers were found among the visitors to
the booth.
